Dont' fear, 'just giver!'

Comment on this Post

A friend of mine is off to Norway to attempt a world record in ski flying (a ski jumping hill, but way bigger). It's scary, but her plan is to "just giver!" In other words, send it. Do it—and do it with confidence. But don't do it in fear. She will be attempting an "intense" series of jumps that to a non ski jumper would be petrifying—flying 80 mph through the air for 6 seconds. Once you commit, you can't turn your skis to stop. But my friend isn't scared one bit to take the leap. She knows that the consequence of acknowledging the danger could lead to major injury. She's never let fear hinder her from the dream of becoming a world-record holder. She's not doing this in haste. She's prepared. She's confident! That's what separates champions from the wanna-be's. Acknowledging fear is human; we get scared. But it holds us back from greatness. When you dwell on fear, it manifests into more fear. It's a cyclical nightmare. So instead, just "giver." Whatever it is you want to pursue, do it with confidence. Do it with passion. Stop dwelling on what you can't change. Or, if you can change it, do something about it. But don't fear, just GIVER!
