Unveiling the 2023 - 2024 SheJumps Annual Report
It’s a longstanding tradition that one’s 16th birthday is a special one – a coming of age and a notable occasion as we grow up.
It’s serendipitous that SheJumps celebrated its Sweet Sixteen during the 2023-24 year, as the organization reached an exciting first: fundraising $1 million. Following major growth over the last two years, this one was about focus and digging deep. That intentionality drove us to a new level, unearthing new opportunities for the women and girls we serve.
“By focusing our efforts on refinement, we found that we could grow stronger, more effective, and bolder,” said Sara Boilen, SheJumps Board Chair (2022-24). “We did more than we thought possible (in true Girafficorn fashion).”
And that is what SheJumps is all about. We inspire women and girls to jump - to push themselves past their perceived limitations and take risks that will result in growth, confidence, a connection to nature, and joy.
As we unveil our 2023-24 Annual Report, we’re thrilled to share that, fueled by generous donors and 165 committed volunteers across the country, SheJumps hosted 220 events last year reaching 4,390 participants. These numbers just scratch the surface of our impact!
Founded on the idea of gender equity, the DEI lens is our mission’s compass as we increase our reach to women and girls, especially those who have been historically excluded through policies, practices, and customs in American society. The outdoors are a place for amazing personal transformation, but getting there can be challenging, expensive, and scary.
SheJumps is part of a collective movement to build equitable paths to outdoor play. Growth looks different for all SheJumpers. And our goal is to create spaces that encourage determination, tenacity, and courage, all while building belonging.
