PLEASE NOTE: This event is being rescheduled to May 31st due to weather.
SheJumps is excited to host an Outdoor Education event at one of East Tennessee’s gems, the Obed Wild and Scenic River. At this event, we invite women and children of all ages to join National Park Service rangers for a free cup Little Red Wagon coffee at the Obed visitors center at 9 a.m. (ET). Then, beginning at Lilly Bridge at 10 a.m. (ET), NPS rangers will be leading jumpers in their Climb with a Ranger program.
The Climb with a Ranger program is an excellent introduction to rock climbing for individuals who have always wanted to try the activity but who did not know where to begin. All necessary gear is provided. Girls are encouraged to bring drinking water, sturdy footwear, a willingness to try new things and a can-do attitude. Depending on interests and ability levels, participants will travel with rangers to one of several different climbing areas around the park. Participants will be back to their vehicles by approximately 3 p.m. (ET). Would be rock climbers of all ages are encouraged to attend.
We will be at Obed Wild and Scenic River, rain or shine on Sunday and hope to see you there!
