Meet SheJumps Board Member: Gwynne Gallagher

We are thrilled to welcome Gwynne Gallagher to the SheJumps Board of Directors!

Gwynne Gallagher is an adventurer both on and off the trail! As the Senior Director of Commercial Strategy and Programs at Covetrus®, a global animal health technology company, she’s all about helping organizations grow and thrive. Gwynne calls Boulder, Colorado home, where the trails start right outside her front door—a perfect fit for her love of mountain biking and outdoor adventures.

Her connection to SheJumps runs deep; she first joined as a Regional Coordinator back in 2014. Now, as a Board of Directors member, Gwynne is bringing her strategic expertise to help SheJumps create a sustainable foundation for even bigger impacts. She’s passionate about building inclusive outdoor spaces where women and girls can discover the transformative power of nature, gain confidence, and push their limits—all with a community cheering them on.

Q: Place of work, title, location.

A: Covetrus, Covetrus® is a global animal health technology & services company dedicated to empowering veterinary practice partners. Sr. Director, Commercial Strategy and Programs

Boulder, Colorado.

Q: Why did you join SheJumps as a board member?

A: As an avid outdoorswoman, I love the SheJumps mission of increasing the participation of women and girls in outdoor sports. I myself have benefited from women’s groups when trying new sports, allowing me to challenge myself in a supportive environment. Because I wanted to help create more of these inclusive spaces, I volunteered as a SheJumps Regional Coordinator back in 2014. So, many years later, I joined the Board to use my professional experience to support the SheJumps mission and continue to grow the participation of women and girls in outdoor sports.

Q: What goal of the SheJumps Strategic Plan is the most important to you?

A: I love Goal 1, “Establish a sustainable business model for the future growth of SheJumps.” SheJumps does incredible work for women and girls and our business model is the foundation that enables that work to happen. I look forward to strengthening our business model to ensure that we are set up for success for years to come.

Q: What do you hope to contribute to the SheJumps Board of Directors?

A: In my professional career, I've had the opportunity to both participate in and lead multiple strategic planning initiatives. I'm excited to bring that experience to SheJumps as we shape the next iteration of our Strategic Plan. Building on our strong foundation, I can’t wait to work with the team to help us keep growing our impact!

Q: What is your vision for SheJumps?

A:  My vision for SheJumps is to create a more inclusive and supportive outdoor community that uplifts women and girls, especially those who have been historically underrepresented in outdoor sports. I want SheJumps to be a platform where women can discover the transformative power of the outdoors—not just for physical well-being but also for mental health, confidence, and personal growth. By fostering access, education, and a sense of belonging, I see SheJumps empowering women to embrace challenges, build resilience, and thrive both on and off the trail

Now, it’s time for the lightning round:

Q: Outdoor activity of choice (pick one, two if you must)?

A: Mountain biking

Q: Who inspires you to go outside and why?

A: My friends who invite me to go ride and ski every weekend

Q: Where is your favorite place to go outside or on an adventure?

A: The many trails accessible from my front door in Boulder, Colorado!

Q: How has the outdoors benefited your health and overall physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing?

A: The outdoors have been a cornerstone of my well-being, offering a unique blend of connection, challenge, and peace. They are where I find community, push my limits, and reflect on life while surrounded by breathtaking views. Outdoor sports have been my ultimate stress reliever and a way to build meaningful relationships, like when I moved to Boulder and found my closest friends through group bike rides.

Beyond the camaraderie, the outdoors inspire me to set goals and embrace challenges, keeping me motivated and focused. At the same time, they provide a calm space to unplug, soak in the beauty of nature, and simply be present. This balance of energy and serenity has been transformative for my physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Thanks, Gwynne!
