Here is the recap from the September 12th event
It was the perfect weather for the September 12th Downhill day at Thunder Mountain Bike Park in Charlemont MA. The day started off by having two groups on instruction lead by Paula Burton and Mary Elges.
Paula is an IMBA certified mountain bike coach. She coaches and guides for Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Camp and now for Thunder Mountain. Paula has a passion for outdoors. She is also active with New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA). She builds and designs trails, and teaches at Trail Schools around New England. When not riding her bike, building trails, or doing winter sports, she teaches at Seymour High School , in Connecticut.
Mary Elges is a SheJumps jumper! Check out her profile here. Mary is a pro rider out of Windsor Connecticut. It was awesome to have her out there. She took the intermediate clinic out and said, “It was fun coaching I love biking and I want to share my passion. The women were great and I saw tons of progress”
Huge thank you to these awesome women who came out to teach! By the end of the day we had women charging down greens and blues and over jumps!
Thank you to our partners Vermont Peanut Butter , Eco lips and Eastern Mountain Sports- Hadley Massachusetts.
We had a great group from Women including North East Jumper Jen Sass
