SheJumps joined REI Washington DC at their Flagship store to properly kick off the impending snowy season with a Pray for Snow extravaganza! After dusting off their gnarliest neon 80’s ski garb and freshening up their signature “snow dance” moves, thousands of attendees humming, “let it snow, let it snow, let it snow” came together to celebrate winter’s arrival.
REI and Ballast Point Brewing generously donated all proceeds from beer sales to fund future outdoor opportunities for our Jumpers!
With countless vendor booths scattered throughout the store, attendees were able to gather some serious swag to add to their winter gear collections. Vendor booths ranged from waxing stations to screen and poster printing to Atari competitions and of course, plenty of delicious drinks and food. The Girafficorns were out in full force and had a fantastic time sharing the SheJumps stoke and connecting with other females about future outdoor opportunities!
Girafficorns Nina and Katie were all neon smiles!
For those eager for a preview of some mountain magic, two screenings of the latest Teton Gravity Research film were shown to help satiate riders until the resorts begin spinning their lifts. Those feeling exceptionally confident were able to rock their retro garb in a best-dressed fashion show sponsored by Osprey Packs.
What could be better than getting to break out the old 80’s ski garb?
REI and Ballast Point Brewing generously donated the evening’s proceeds from beer sales to SheJumps to help fund future initiatives aimed at increasing the participation of women and girls in the outdoors! We couldn’t be more grateful for the immense love and support this community has shown to our newest SheJumps region and are thrilled to bring more local opportunities to our gals!
Girafficorns Jasmine and Layla were all smiles when passing out delicious brews and SheJumps stoke!
A tremendous thank you to the sponsors, vendors and individuals who have rallied around us, stay tuned to the Southeast Regional calendar for upcoming events!
