Montana Wilderness Association is teaming up with SheJumps.org to provide a unique backcountry experience for young women that want to head for the hills! MWA will provide an experienced crew leader to oversee a great group of gals that like to hike, camp and work hard on our trails. If you or someone you know is between the ages of 16-35, wants to explore the outdoors and has no Y chromosone – this trip is it! This service adventure will take us into pristine Anaconda Pintler Wilderness. We will be working and camping along the West Fork of LaMarche Creek on a trail providing access to the CDT. This trail, lying in a valley between two 8500+ foot ridges, is in need of basic maintenance. Volunteers will shovel debris from clogged drainage structures, brush back intrusive limbs and bushes and re-establish eroded sections of trail using our digging tools. Backpacking experience is strongly suggested, but we can help first-timers, too.
