SheJumps and the Jackson Hole Outdoor Leadership Institute are once again joining forces in an effort to bring avalanche education opportunities to women. And an in accordance with their unfaltering support for outdoor education and opportunities for women through the SheJumps organization, Jackson Hole Outdoor Leadership Institute has generously donated two 50%-scholarships for each of the following courses, totaling six scholarships:
— AIARE Avalanche Level 1 (December 10 – 13, 2015): $187.50 Value (Two winners will pay just half price for the full course!) Application Deadline for Course Scholarships has passed
— AIARE Avalanche Level 1 (December 21 – 23, 2015): $187.50 Value (Two winners will pay just half price for the full course!) Application Deadline for Course Scholarships has passed
— AIARE Avalanche Level 2 (February 18 – 21, 2016): $237.50 Value (Two winners will pay just half price for the full course!) Scholarship application for this course now open!
We are looking for motivated women who wish to push themselves in the outdoors while supporting and inspiring their female peers of all levels and abilities. Demonstrated financial need is also an important factor.
Scholarship winners are guaranteed a space in the respective course they applied for.* Scholarships are valid for course fees only. Recipients are responsible for providing 50% of course fees. If recipient is unable to do so, both the scholarship and course space will be passed on to the runner-up. Recipients are responsible for individual backcountry equipment necessary for each course. All courses will take place in the vicinity of Jackson, Wyoming.
