What a fun night that was! December 7th marked the first SheJumps event of the season in Big Sky, MT and boy was it a good one.
Grizzly Outfitters ( the premier ski shop in Big Sky) opened up to the ladies after the doors closed for the night. All who participated were encouraged to bring in their own skis or boards to tune. The knowledgeable and experienced techs took us through simple tuning techniques to keep our gear in tip top condition. They went over everything from simple waxing and edging techniques to more advanced base welds.
This event was open to 10 ladies to assure that everyone got a chance to get their hands dirty. With the smaller group, all the ladies were able to receive a lot of one-on-one knowledge. The excitement was alive with the snow coming down outside. We had everyone from Bozeman girls who made the trek through the canyon to well versed locals who are quite familiar with the burn of p-tex.
Every single lovely lady there learned something to take away and had a fun time doing it. The night was met with old friends and new, healthy snacks, beverages, and a little bit of ski stoke. Kate’s Real Food donated some of their delicious bars and Little Red Wagon Coffee Roasters had some GEO’s up for grabs. Every participant was also offered a discounted tune at Grizzly Outfitters for the next time her skis or board need it.
It was a great way to start the season off right with a fun and informative evening in the tune shop. Thanks to everyone involved!
