SheJumps Women’s Avalanche Know Before You Go with the UAC at REI

On Monday December 7th, is Ladies Night brought to you by REI, SheJumps and the Utah Avalanche Center! Come kick off your winter backcountry adventures with a ladies-only avalanche awareness event.

The Utah Avalanche Center’s Evelyn Lees will give a presentation on awareness and staying alive in avalanche terrain, followed by guide Allison Conover reviewing the AAI Backcountry check list for pre-trip planning, on-going tour assessment and post trip discussion. This is a great introduction or review of avalanche safety basics. Come learn about the 2015/16 women’s snow safety events and go home with new friends to take exploring safely in the backcountry!
