On July 30th ladies on the PNW gathered at Steven Pass Bike Park for some mountain biking fun! Stevens Pass Bike park is the only lift access downhill mountain biking location in the state of Washington. This is a second year that we have partnered with Stevens Pass to do this event and it was once again a HUGE success. Everyone was stoked to escape the Seattle summer heat and find themselves in the mountains.
We started out the morning by getting all the ladies registered and ready for the day. Freehub magazine joined us to share the lady fun. An overwhelming amount of ladies signed up! It always makes us so happy to see new and old faces – everyone encouraging each other to get after it. Once lifts started spinning, everyone divided up into groups and got ready to check out the trails.
Big shout out to Kjersti Christensen, a local PNW rider who volunteered to be coach for the day! She did non-stop clinics all day giving feedback to ladies on they can improve their riding. Below you can see a lady train working on their berm riding techniques.
It’s not a true Get The Girls out event without seeing magical creatures. There were 2 of them spotted on the mountain during the event. Here they are below, looking totally in their element before and during their shred down some amazing trails!
After a long day of riding, we wrapped the day up with a raffle. The stoke was high – there were so many cool prizes to raffle off!
Thanks to everyone who came out to share this day with us – we hope to see you again next year!
